About
Nature and art have brought me joy since I was a little girl. I knew that I wanted to involved in the art world in some form- but it wasn't until attending the College of Charleston that I discovered how much I loved painting, and met the professors who would give me the tools to later pursue it. I graduated in 2007 with a BA in Fine Art and a focus in oil painting.
I am most inspired by light and color, and how they are affected by form and atmosphere. The Charleston Lowcountry provides endless inspiration for new landscapes- the same section of marsh or row of live oaks can look completely different from hour to hour. I paint in both oils and. I work out of my home studio in Charleston, where I live with my husband Chris, our daughter Daphne, and our two dogs Bear and Lucy.
